On September 20th,
a group of ESGSAR members spent time at Dollar Lake and Porters Lake provincial
parks. The aim was to educate interested park visitors to what a SAR organization
was all about.
Participants had a chance to use our new radios to communicate with the bus as they walked about the parks.
The feature of the day was a demonstration of the Hug a Tree program by Debbie Conrod. Parents and kids learned and participated in activities for what to do if you got lost in the woods.
